23 Jan St Davids
Today we were able to visit the little town of St David. The children explored the inside of the cathedral looking around and finding missing pictures. In addition, we were told the story of Saint David, read song sheets which were written in Latin and saw the tomb of Saint Edmund (Henry VIII’s grandfather). The children were amazing walking to St Davids (2 miles there and 2 miles back) no moaning and we were very lucky to have dry, sunny weather. It made the walk so much more pleasant. For our free time some of the children watched Moana which turned into a sing along and lifted everyone’s spirits. Then after dinner we celebrated Niamh’s birthday with a delicious cake made by the cooks, it was amazing. We are looking forward to cooking tomorrow morning and our final trip to the beach.
