Year 6 have once again risen to the occasion to devise a carousel of athletic style games based on their PE topic focus: The Ancient Greek Olympics. The afternoon involved team-work, perseverance and skill for the adrenaline-pumping events such as javelin, triple jump, long distance and relay -plus the co-operation, organisation and leadership skills from the Year 6 team.

Participants had a thrilling time, ‘Not only was it fun but we were able to learn some facts about the Ancients Greeks too,’ Lawrie Year 4. ‘The modelling and enthusiasm from year 6 was of a very high standard,’ Emma Year 4 teacher. ‘Even when I wanted to give up on the long distance I received support and encouragement to keep going,’ Luke Year 4.

Well done to both Year 6 and Year 4 pupils on achieving a very successful mini Olympics.
