24 Jan Canonbury Raises Money for Australia
The school was a sea of yellow and greens as the children represented Australia in the colours of the flag.
Canonbury children with Australian heritage and family and friends affected by the recent bushfires wanted to show support, raise awareness and funds. On Friday 24th January 2020 the children wore green or yellow and donated £1 each – a brother and sister prepared and presented an informative and moving assembly – and after school parents sold Anzac biscuits, fruit and other treats. £727.50 has been raised for those affected by the bushfires in Australia.
