25 Jun Pride
Happy Pride!
Over the past few weeks Jo has been visiting each class from Nursery to Year 6 to share a Pride Assembly.
We thought together about what we were all proud of and also reasons to be proud of our families and friends.
We had so many different things to share – from learning to ride bikes and scooters, being able to swim, being brave about things that scare us and sharing and looking after our families – we are rightfully a very proud bunch.
Then we thought about the celebration of Pride in June and how it is celebrated with marches, parades, rainbows, people dressing up and dancing to music. We talked about our differences and how Pride gives a chance to value all members of our community positively – no matter who we love and who we feel we are.
We finished up with some stories that highlight the positivity of differences and how they can bring us all closer together.
