16 Mar Year 3 Roman Feast
As an exit point to our Roman topic, Year 3 took part in a Roman feast. The classrooms were transformed into Roman dinning areas with a central table and seating for the rich Romans. A lavish display of food was set out including flat bread, olives, Roman cake, fruit and, of course, the all important wine glasses and red wine (Grape juice).
During the feast the rich Romans were served by their own personal slave who was there to answer their every need. We were also lucky enough to be entertained by some talented musicians and gymnasts and also by some powerful and energetic sword fighters.
Everyone had a fantastic time and the afternoon was a great success.
