01 Feb A Farewell to Barns
Day 6
This morning Hughes class completed our final farming tasks at Treginnis. It is hard to believe these six days passed by so quickly! Many children even admitted they were sad to be leaving so soon. Once the children finished feeding the goats, sawing wood, and cleaning the turnips, we returned to the lodge for a hearty soup.
In the afternoon the year fives enjoyed a refreshing (and soggy) hike to the beach and, despite the wind and rain, remained sunny in spirit; the fresh sea air and coastal views were a solid end to our Treginnis experience.
The day was not yet over! We ended our evening with a lively performance showcasing Hughes talent. “Watch me whip… Watch me nay nay…”
See you all soon!
