The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.
The Pupil Premium Strategy shows how we plan to spend the annual pupil premium grant and the impact we predict it will have on disadvantaged pupils. We also report our evaluation of the impact of last year’s funding. The strategies in the plan are designed to be sustainable for more than one academic year, according to their impact. The plan is reviewed annually so that adjustments can be made where needed to ensure that the strategies are effective and an efficient use of the grant. The next review of the Pupil Premium Strategy is due in November 2022 and the statement will be updated and reported to the governing body in December 2022.
For 2021-22, the Recovery Premium Strategy is included in this plan, with information about how we are recovering learning that has been affected by the school closures during the coronavirus pandemic.
