10 May Big Bear Hunt – Reception
Reception took a trip to the Peter Harrison Planetarium in Greenwich Park last week. We took our own red, double decker bus across London to the royal park. It was a beautiful, sunny day and we saw lots of people and dogs strolling amongst the cherry blossom trees as we walked through the park.
On arrival Goldsworthy Class had a picnic lunch, with a superb view of London, whilst Keller Class went into the planetarium to find the Big Bear! Both classes took turns to meet Ted, who had lost his friend the Big Bear. We lay back in reclining seats as we helped Ted search the solar system for his friend. We checked all the planets before finally discovering that the Big Bear was a constellation of stars! Ted was lucky to have our help on his mission and we even managed to squeeze in a run-around in the park.
We took our big, red bus back to school and were very excited to cross Tower Bridge en route.
