We were celebrating Diwali, the Hindu festival of light and have been talking about it on our carpet sessions. We have spoken about the tradition of lighting divas, which are small oil lamps and how they celebrate with fireworks. In our classroom we also got a chance to decorate our hand prints like the henna designs with drawings and glitter. Some of us made diva lamps out of clay and painted them.
