21 Jul Pitch it to Win it Challenge
School Council at work……………………
A huge well done to everyone involved in our recent Pitch It to Win It Challenge!
School council received over 40 applications from pupils across KS1 and KS2, with so many brilliant ideas to help improve our school. Our school councillors had the tough task of narrowing down the entries to a shortlist of finalists, who were then invited to pitch their ideas to a judging panel.
It was absolutely incredible to see such fantastic preparation from the applicants, wonderful support from their peers and thoughtful questioning from our school council judges.
Here are the winning ideas you will see in place very soon:
1. A giant Connect 4 for the playground (Poppy Y5)
2. A new bird house for the glade (Liana Y5)
3. Skipping ropes for KS1 and KS2 (Nora, Y1)
4. New bibs for PE (Lyla, Y5)
5. More money for book corners (Quinn and Hayleigh, Y5)
6. A Buddy Bench for the playground (Nina, Cara and Jess, Y3, and Hayleigh, Y5)
There are also some exciting ideas to look out for next year from Torin (Y4), and Ariya, Amalia, and Maddison (Y5)!
Congratulations to all of our winners and a massive thank you to all our school councillors who did such a brilliant job of running the challenge.
