Year 5 Sycamore Class did their first TasteEd session of the year. We were exploring how our senses affect our enjoyment of food and today we concentrated on our sense of sight. We tried orange carrots and compared them to a purple variety. Some people could not detect a difference in taste- especially when they covered their eyes, but others were put off by the blackish colour – some were reminded of beetroot but it definitely tasted different to that!
