23 Jan The sun sets on another day at Treginnis
Can you believe that it’s Monday already? The children have been enjoying completing their farm tasks in glorious sunshine today.
Group A started the morning feeding the sheep and shepherding them from the barn to a field so they could also enjoy the sunshine. That was followed by a sheep check in the numerous fields on the peninsula. We took the farmer’s dogs along for a walk too.
Group B began their day with Pigs and Poultry, ensuring all animals were fed and provided with water. Afterwards they cleaned the stable yard for the horses and donkeys.
Group C were on hand this morning to milk the goats. They also took the donkeys and horses for a stroll in the sunshine.
Further tasks included log sawing for the farmhouse hearth, making up food for the animals and sorting potatoes for animal and human consumption.
Tonight we will have another quiz, the competition is on after last night’s event! Tomorrow we will be continuing with our farm work and walking into St David’s and visiting the historical cathedral in the afternoon.
