16 Jan Weather Watching in Chestnut Class
Science in Year 1
In Year 1 Science lessons the children have become weather watchers. We made rain gauges to measure the amount of rainfall, and weathervanes to see which direction the wind is blowing. We will also be using a thermometer to measure the temperature.
The children quickly recognised that the first home we chose for the rain gauge was not suitable as it was sheltered by the school building therefore unable to catch all of the rain.
